Located in the Shekomeko Valley, a historic hamlet that was once a village of the Mahican people, sits a completely renovated contemporary farmhouse that is for sale for $4.99 million.

The 5-bedroom, 5.5-bath home sits on a country road at 70 Bryan Farm Lane in Pine Plains in northern Dutchess County. The property, which was built in 1992 and is surrounded by conservation land, ranks among the top 10 most expensive single-family residences in Dutchess County on the market right now.

The real estate market in Hudson Valley continues to reflect historically low inventory, which has increased sales prices, particularly since the pandemic.

Listed by Elyse Harney Real Estate, the property sits on 13 acres and includes a heated gunite pool, integrated into the landscape. The home is a short drive from Millerton and the Wassaic Train Station with access to New York City, and is close to Salisbury and Sharon, Connecticut.
